| A Lifeboat Launch (assembling the crew and putting to
sea) is, under all normal circumstances, initiated by the Launching Authority (Lifeboat
Operations Manager (LOM) or his Deputy - DLA) following a request from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA)
- the HM Coastguard. It is the Launching Authority who initiates the Paging System to
assemble the crew and formally launch. |
