Inshore Boat launched to assist. Windsurfer assisted to beach and all OK. Additional Notes Coast Guard shore team in attendance ======================================================================================= Incident Date 02-Dec-02 Ready for Service Date 02-Dec-02 Launch Instruct 19:02 Ready for Service Time 20:00 Launch Time 19:13 Inshore Life Boat (ILB) 2002 Shout Number 63 Helm Nigel Crang Location of Casualty Steamer Quay, Totnes Service Report of missing gentleman in area of The Steamer Quay, Totnes - ILB Launched to assist in search. Tide falling at this time - water levels at Totnes restrictive. Missing person found - search called off at 19:28 hrs Additional Notes All Weather Boat launched also to provide escort to ILB and also deploy the Y boat to assist in search when in the River Dart. ================================================================================= Incident Date 25-Nov-02 Ready for Service Date 25-Nov-02 Launch Instruct 09:39 Ready for Service Time 10:45 Launch Time 09:49 Inshore Life Boat (ILB) 2002 Shout Number 62 Helm Nigel Crang Location of Casualty Elberry Cove / Broadsands Service Report received by Coast Guard of a 'body' in the sea some 50 yards off shore. ILB tasked and found a full body 'Upper Deck Crewing Suit' Additional Notes Excellent observation by person on coast. Additional Notes Catamaran taken in tow and returned to Paignton Harbour ======================================================================================= |
