The Inshore
Lifeboat was launched to search for a diver reportedly waving and |
|
blowing a whistle
before going below the surface. Person thought to be in |
|
difficulty.
Eventually a solo diver was located and confirmed he had blown the |
|
whistle. Checked
he was all OK and confirmed identification. ALB about to |
|
launch to assist
in search but stood down. |

Many divers in the
vicinity were asked but none had any information. |

Pleasure boat
Island Princess observed and recovered a person in the water |
|
half a mile off
shore at Preston. A second person was also located. ILB tasked |
|
to the scene. It
appears two persons had been thrown off their JetSki some |
|
ninety minutes
earlier. Both casualties were taken to hospital following the |
|
extended period in
the sea. |

The casualties
were observed by a wind surfer who made it to shore and |
|
raised a 999 call
on a borrowed mobile around the same time as Island |
