Location of Darthaven Marina, River Dart

Service Launched to join search for a Man Overboard from a yacht on Darthaven Marina. Dart

Lifeboat launched initially and searching. Rescue 106 located a person in the water near

the Castles at 21:04. Person recovered from water by Dart Lifeboat and transferred by

Ambulance to Torbay Hospital. ALB returned to station. (Monday update - The casualty did not survive the night)

Additional Police Helo Oscar 99, Rescue Helo 106 and Coastguard teams all tasked.

Location of Brixham Outer Harbour

Service Launched to provide a salvage pump to a fishing vessel observed to be very low in the

water. Fishing vessel pumped out and problem identified by the owner.

Location of River Dart

Service Launched to join an ongoing search for a possible Man Over Board situation. A small boat

under power was found running in circles near the River Dart lower ferry with no one on

board. Extensive search of the whole estuary area by all units carried out over a three hour

period and nothing found.

Additional Dart lifeboat and Rescue Helo 169 together with others searched overnight. Partial search

resumed after first light.

Service Launched to report of a suicidal person in the vicinity of Anstey's Cove. ALB launched but

casualty safely recovered before the lifeboat arrived on scene. ALB stood down at 02:06 and

returned to station.

Location of 22 miles East of Berry Head       Chartlet

Service The fishing vessel 'Gerry Ann C' suffered a fouled propeller whilst fishing and became

immobilised. Pan Pan issued with no responses from other vessels. ALB tasked to their

assistance and returned them under tow to Brixham.

Additional Sea conditions rough to very rough nearing W Force 8 for most of the tow with poor visibility

in rain squalls

Service The ALB was returning to station following the placement of wreaths on Remembrance

Sunday when a report was received of a vessel being in difficulty along the coast from the

Station. Nothing was located or seen to be in difficulty. ALB returned to Station

Location of Seaward side Brixham Breakwater

Service Launched to a 9 metre vessel that had run into Brixham Breakwater. Vessel was assisted by

others and recovered to seaward. The ILB placed a Crew member on board to assess

damage and prepare her for a tow into Brixham. ALB subsequently picked up the tow and

returned the vessel to Brixham Harbour placing her alongside the Events Pontoon. No

medical assistance for the person on board required.

Location of Line between Paignton and Imperial Hotel

Service Launched following a report from a member of the public that a windsurfer had apparently

lost his sail and had been down for around one hour. ALB located two persons kayaking in

the reported area but nothing else untoward. After a thorough check around the ALB

returned to station.

Additional False alarm with good intent - a dark and wet evening.
