Location of Breakwater Beach, Brixham

Service HM Coastguard received a report from ambulance control of a diver having been brought

ashore and possibly having suffered a heart attack. Both lifeboats were on exercise and were

tasked to Breakwater Beach. Crew GP transferred ashore in the ILB and assisted in stabilising

the casualty before the Devon Air Ambulance arrived and transferred the casualty to hospital.

Additional HM Coastguard teams on exercise also tasked and Helo WB169 monitored the situation.

Location of Three Baeches - vicinity of Arm Chair Rock

Service Reports of three inflatables with four young people aboard apparently behaving in a risky

manner HM Coastguard initiated checks along the coastline between Roundham and Elberry

Cove. Nothing visible from shore. ALB tasked to carry out a shore line search. Observation

suggested there was someone in difficulty near Broadsands and the ILB was tasked to attend.

Eventually all young people at risk were located safely ashore and one self recovered up a cliff

Location of 14.5 miles SE of Berry Head

Service The 7 metre yacht 'Simbra' on passage from Weymouth to Plymouth suffered sail problems

and engine failure. She was unable to make progress and was quite close to major shipping.

ALB launched to recover them to safety. Returned under tow to Brixham.

Location of 1.5 Miles SE of Berry Head

Service The 19 ft yacht 'Corrib' lost her boom and spinacre and got into difficulty. HM Coastguard

issued a Pan Pan for asistance and the ALB was tasked to her. Two lifeboat crew transferred

to her and made the yacht safe before she was returned under tow to Brixham. The yacht

has been moored on the station pontoon overnight - all safe.

Additional Vessel Ocean Adventure assisted with the lifeboat crew transfer.

Location of Between Petitor Beach and Hopes Nose

Service Report received of a small vessel listing heavily and apparently not under command in the

vicinity of Petitor, Torquay. ALB launched to investigate. Small cabin cruiser found to be

adrift and taken in tow by ALB towards Torquay harbour. ILB called to assist.

Location of Broadsands

Service Launched to search for a Kayaker possibly in difficulty following a capsize near Broadsands,

Torbay. Kayaker made it ashore at 13:20 and was confirmed to be the casualty. ALB

released to return to station at 13:25 hrs.

Additional Coastguards and Rescue Helo 106 also tasked.

Service Requested to join search with the ILB for a missing lady along the coastline from Torquay to
