Service Report received of an upturned 10ft dinghy with sails in the water

approximately 0.5 miles off the coastline at Strete Gate in Start Bay. ALB

tasked to search area. Salcombe ALB also tasked. Found to be a 'Wayfarer'

lost from Salcombe two days ago. Search terminated.

Additional Notes Portland Helo RVA also tasked. Coastguard shore teams and Salcombe ALB

all tasked.

Location of Casualty Sighting 1 mile NW of Berry Head

Service Red Flare report received by Coastguard - numerous sightings and good fix

established. AWB tasked to search area and expanding box search initiated.

Chivenor R169 also joined search. Red Flare canister found on coastline

consistent with estimated position. Search terminated

Location of Casualty Bixham to Broadsands

Service Numerous reports received by the Coastguard of a single Red Flare possibly in

the vicinity of Churston Cove. AWB tasked to carry out a shoreline search

from Brixham Fairway bouy to Broadsands. Search terminated at 22:16

Additional Notes Police confirmed Red Flare launched in land from Churston Cove area.

Location of Casualty Mouth of St Marys Bay, Brixham

Service Motor Yacht 'Pan Terra' suffered loss of power and was being blown on to the

lee shore of St Marys Bay.

Pan Pan issued and AWB immediately tasked to recover the vessel. Tow

established at 07:38 and returned to Brixham.

Additional Notes Easterly wind blowing and sea moderate to rough

Location of Casualty Possibly Princess Pier, Torquay

Service Requested to assist police searching for missing person thought to be a

serious suicide risk. ILB and subsequently AWB both tasked.

Location of Casualty 1.5 miles NE Berry Head

Service During a work up trip two people suffered broken legs aboard the liner Queen

Mary II and medical evacuation was required. The lifeboat was tasked to meet

the liner at 09:00. The casualties were eventually transferred and safely

delivered to Torquay Harbour for onward transfer to Torbay Hospital.

Additional Notes The sea conditions were difficult. Overnight a SE gale blew until the early

hours and then backed to NW creating a very confused sea and difficult

transfer conditions
