Location of Casualty Approx 0.9 miles NE of Hopes Nose

Service Launched to a four metre RIB suffering engine failure. ALB brought the RIB under tow to Torquay

Harbour. RIB secured in Torquay Harbour around 14:30.

Additional Notes Visibility somewhat reduced in haze.

Location of Casualty 4 miles NE of Berry Head

Service Launched in response to a MayDay call raised by the 14 metre fishing vessel 'Mysha Lucy' with two

people on board apparently taking water. Vessel accompanied into sheltered waters to allow crew

and salvage pump to be transferred. Vessel pumped out and returned under tow into Brixham

Harbour fishing basin for investigation.

Additional Notes Strong South Easterly wind - shelter sought close to Berry Head

Service Tasked to carry out a detailed shoreline search for a missing person starting at Torquay Harbour

around to Ansteys Cove and return.

No one observed meeting the description from seaward - ALB released to return to station

Additional Notes Teignmouth Lifeboat originally tasked but due to very poor sea conditions returned to station.

Location of Casualty 34 miles East of Berry Head

Service Tasked to the fishing vessel Remus that had suffered complete engine failure. Taken in tow for

approximately one hour towards Weymouth. The Weymouth ALB took over the tow allowing the

ALB to return to station.

Additional Notes Warship HMS Diamond stood by
