Location of Casualty 2.5 Miles East of River Dart entrance

Service A vessel on pasage some distance off the River Dart entrance came across a body in the sea.

Torbay ALB tasked to recover the body which was then returned Brixham.

Location of Casualty 2 miles East of Hopes Nose

Service Both lifeboats launched following a report of missing divers. As the lifeboats were preparing to

launch two divers were located. However both lifeboats proceeded to the search area to confirm all

was OK and no medical attention required. All confirmed OK - both lifeboats returned to station.

Location of River Dart - Hoodown

Service For the second time in a week the ALB was tasked to a fire on a vessel near the Hoodown

Sheds on the River Dart. Two people and a dog recovered safely. Fire brought under control

and vessel severly damaged.

Additional Lower Ferry carrying Dartmouth Fire Engine, Dart Lifeboat, Dart Harbour Authority and SW

Location of River Dart

Service Launched following report of a fire aboard the Dartmouth vessel 'African Queen'. The vessel

was mid river on a pontoon and the owners managed to vacate the vessel safely. Torbay

Lifeboat joined with others to fight a very serious fire. Firemen joined the lifeboat using the

ALB fire pumps to assist their own on the lower ferry. The famous vessel was eventually

moved to the quayside to avoid a pollution incident.

Service Launched to investigate a small open dinghy possibly in difficulty a distance to the South

East of Thatcher Rock. Casualty transferred to the ALB and the boat returned under tow to Brixham

Location of Brixham Breakwater

Service Launching on exercise and diverted to assist an unmanned vessel 'Sea Fish' adrift in Gale

force conditions lying against the breakwater. ALB returned her under tow and placed her

alongside the Town Pontoon before resuming exercise.

Location of Torre Abbey Sands

Service Tasked to join a search following the discovery of a bag of clothes near the Grand Hotel,

Corbyn Head. Shoreline and area searched by HM Coastguard and the ALB - stood down

when it was concluded no one was in difficulty.
